The big issue with any discussion that isnt IRC or Discord is it requires someone loading up a new account and program for that one specific discussion. A lot of people just wont bother.
Ha, you assume Discord is “assumed” but not Slack? I think that only depends on which demographic you’re talking about… Slack is becoming more and more common in tech circles at least.
You make a fair point, my circle is mostly gamers, within which discord has become extremely popular.
Online authorization is awesome. “Sign in with… Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc.”
