Sure I’m at 22 now, level 20 was a b*tch lol
Can’t wait… that’s if arduboy SD comes out😩
@Cody17 well we do have the save progress system and 30 levels instead of 20
What is the memory foot print like?
Sketch uses 28,662 bytes (99%) of program storage space. Maximum is 28,672 bytes.
Global variables use 1,721 bytes (67%) of dynamic memory, leaving 839 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,560 bytes.
You can free up over 500 bytes of program space by modifying the game to use the Arduboy2 and ArduboyTones libraries instead of Arglib. I can make my changes available, if anyone’s interested.
So I’m guessing even though I’m not a expert it has a ok memory foot print (mfp)
I don’t get what you actually want to know …
The game works …
Yeah basically if works without major problems then just smile and wave
Oh did you mean (mfp) Memory Foot Print
Cody, I think he was saying that he doesn’t understand what point you are trying to make by bringing up the memory footprint.
As long as the game uses less than 100% of the memory, the computer will be able to install it just fine. Anything less than 100% is considered to be “ok.” We know you’re not an expert, we were all newbies at some point! But bringing up random things like that can confuse people that are trying to have a discussion. Especially whenever many people on this forum speak multiple languages… It can be confusing to some.
Asking questions is totally cool, but just be sure that there’s a reason why you would want to know the answer in the first place. Otherwise, you’re not really adding anything to the discussion besides potentially confusing people.
The reason I brought it up is because I wanted to know the limitations in that I could know the limits of course
I personally tested the latest build extensively, it should be A-OK! If you come across any bugs or errors let us know and we’ll break out the insecticide
Cool thanks @Gaveno😉
yeah, stuck on level 22. can’t get past the first set of teeth.
haha, @Gaveno you’ll have to guide them past level 22
@ScrumpyJack that first part is tough! It still takes me a few tries.
There are three fans in a row at the start, if you have your balloons out while lined up in between two you will rapidly shoot into the spikes above. Try to time your balloons with quicker bursts or take it slow and try to line up with an individual fan.
Once you get the first coin, go slow and watch for the next fans air flow. It’s just a single fan so it won’t make you accelerate too fast. Practice getting out of the air flow a couple times, you have one tile to let yourself fall before getting through the close spikes. Get out of the airflow a little high and wait until you’ve reached the right level before quickly getting through the spikes.
There is one last fan before exiting the spikes. Get to it low and quickly let go before getting too much speed. It can help to rapidly pretty the balloon button and once you’re out of the airflow press and hold it to make it the rest of the way out.
Hope that helps!
Wow! Great job, guys… this is one if my favourite games on my Arduboy. Thanks!
When i complete damn 29th I take a breath.
I finished 30th level 2 hour ago. It take 2 full recharge to gain the “touch of climb”.
Now I can study the code to understand what I see during game. For now, I don’t understand vec2 struct, but with a little step I’m pretty sure to get something.
Thanks @Nono_Nano, @Gaveno is on a trip to Europe, but when he’s back I’m pretty sure he’s willing to explain the vec2.
