[WIP] The Legend of Ardus - version 0.2

I am currently working on a new game called The Legend of Ardus!

If you wish to become a beta tester, send me a message and I will message you every time a new version comes out.

WARNING:
If you wish to install another game to the Arduboy, flashlight mode must be used!
To access flashlight mode, do the following:

  1. Turn off your Arduboy
  2. Hold the UP button and then turn on your Arduboy
  • The screen and LED should now be shining brightly white.
  1. Press the Upload button on the Arduino software.

Controls:

  • Arrow Keys: moving
  • A Button: attacking with sword
  • B Button: defending with shield
  • By holding A and B Buttons for 5 seconds, you will save the game!
  • By holding the A Button on the title screen for 5 seconds, you will delete your save!

[EDIT]
Ok, I reached 102% in program space…

I guess I have to activate the ‘free bootloader space’ technique.
And now I have 92% in program space.

Theres always ways of saving space

With a const unsigned char PROGMEM
And the current level as a regular char

How many background tiles are there? (Different types)

There are 14 different types of background tiles

You could store the map in nibbles (Half a byte)
This allows for 16 different types of block

Sorry, I haven’t been working on it that much because I was really busy with school ending, then I got the Arduino Starter Kit so I was playing around with that and I haven’t spent much time on the Arduboy. I will continue working on this game :soon:
